One of my first online businesses, now for showcase only no longer accepting orders.
Custom OSCommerce skin, lots and lots of hacks to get it looking and working as it is now.
PHP + CMS + CSS + Flash
All artwork, branding, video reviews created by myself. Example of a well SEO'ed OSCommerce site.
Cheers mate, even after a few years its still got the wow factor. :)
I choose Oscommerce because
- it was opensource ( freeeeeee, this was my personal biz, so I had to keep overheads low )
- it had a really good support base. Just goto the oscommerce forum, wow!
- it offered plenty of customisation. If you goto the contributon section, there are thousands of mods you can use.
- the vanilla package already had a decent layout and functionality.
- easy integration with paypal and payment gateways.
Zen cart back than didn't have a big support base, templates and hacks were often dodgy, I hadn't heard of magento back in 2003 :p

This is definitely one of the best designed oscommerce sites i have seen.
Navigation is clear and simple.
Any reason why you have chosen to use oscommerce over other shopping cart software like zencart and magento?
