Even though Webmaster Showcase was just released last August, 2009 was still a big year for the website. We launched our design submission website, launched our blog and grew from 0 to 114 members in just a few short months.

It was a great year to say the least, but we’re hoping to make 2010 even better. Our goal is to integrate more community involvement, triple our membership numbers and possibly give away a prize or two in the process.

But, before we can move forward with 2010, we need to answer the question we asked in our last blog post: “Who will be the Webmaster Showcase winner for 2009?”

At that time, it was difficult to say. Many of our amazing websites were tied in votes for first, second and third places, so it was really anybody’s game. But, with only a short time left, one amazing website prevailed.

And the winner is… Vuu Media!

Vuu Media is run by a Melbourne resident, David Vuu. In his Webmaster Showcase submission details, he explains that his design goal is to deliver “…clean, unique and usable websites using W3C web standards.” Congratulations, David! Your design goal has obviously paid off since your website has been voted as the best design of Webmaster Showcase for the entire year of 2009!

Vuu Media has now been added to our Winners Wall, and a nice, new winners badge is on its way so he can display his award proudly to the public. At this time, he is even our all time leader, a ranking that can be viewed in our new website category.

And, not to overlook those who put up a good fight, we had 3 submissions tied for 2nd place: Bunton, Sarah Enid Moule and Precision doors and windows. Great work!
